The diagram illustrates a natural water cycle which involved variety of water movement on the earth. It clearly can be observed that the process can be divided into 3 main stages, i.e. evaporation process, formation of cloud and water movement to the sea.

At the beginning, water evaporates to the air cause by direct heat of the sun. 80% of total vapour in the air comes from the ocean. Then, condensed water vapour will formed cloud in the sky. After that, water fall back to the ground as rain during the ‘precipitation’ process. However, some of the water will be transformed into snow at the high altitude.

At the last stage, water is moving back to the ocean through the ‘surface runoff’ process. In addition, salt water intrusion will be occurred just before the water arrived to the sea. However, portion of water will be absorbed into the ground and known as groundwater which subsequently move to the impervious layer of earth.
