Animals should not be used for the benefit of human beings, unless there is evidence that the animals do not suffer in any way. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
It is very controversial issue that in which ways anilams should be treated . I am of the opinion that although it seems inhumanely, we are obliged to use animals in the field of providing food and animal testing.
Throughout history, human beings have relied on animal’s workforce from farming, transportation to supply food. Notwithstanding advent of technology made people much less leaned on this, we still need them to feed our people throughout the world. One might argue that individuals could become vegetarian, causing to give up eating meat. However, I think it is not impractical to ask people from those cultures where meat stills the main nutrition to provide essential proteins .
In terms of animal testing, it is highly debatable to naturalists. Animal experiments are widely used to develop new medicines and to test the safety of other products. Scientists owe to the animals have been sacrificed in order to find out how drugs affect biological bodies. If tests on animals are not allowed, we could not discover vaccines which save millions of people from diseases. I deem that while animal testing may seem unbearably cruel, it could not be replaced by other alternative methods.
To sum up, it is true that we should treat animals humanely and attempt to eradicate treatments which annoy animals such as bullfight – a traditional public entertainment in Spain. However, it is inevitable to apply animals in food supplying and animal experimentation.
