Higher education imparts special knowledge to students and help them to hone their skill in their field of interest. Therefore, further education should be provided to university students free of cost. However, in developed countries with a large population and underdeveloped countries which are poor this idea will not be feasible. I will discuss my personal opinion in this essay.
First , my country India which is a highly populated country will not be able to provide free university education to the aspirants due to shortage of finance. Although there are some colleges, run by the government provide free education, the quality of teaching is not up to their expectation. Therefore, students prefer taking loans from the banks and study at the best universities.
Furthermore, some poor countries don't have enough money to provide free university education. They give priority to provide basic needs such as food, housing and healthcare. Students who can afford higher education, go abroad to get good education.
However, students who belong to rich countries are fortunate enough to get the best education as their native country is capable of providing them with the best opportunity to learn. For example,Germany and some other countries of the west provide free education and encourage their student community to get the best skills. This is because the countries have enough resources.
After considering both the sides of the argument, I have come to the conclusion free assistance to college students depends a lot on the financial position of the native country.
